Crystals, From the Mountains to The Sea

Updated: Jul 16, 2022

Where Do Crystals Come From

Crystals are natures blessings and are grown and formed all over the world, from Earth's lowest to Highest Point - The Salt Crystals in the Dead Sea to the Clear Quartz of the Himalayans and everything in between, mother nature is truly priceless.

Crystals are grown and formed EVERYWHERE, our planet is that rich, She is giving to all. To the average buyer you will notice that many crystals are sourced in Brazil, but that's not where it ends. There are millions of Crystals that are sourced in India, Indonesia, Japan, China, Switzerland, United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Israel, Pakistan, Africa, Peru, Caribbean, and everywhere else. However, some crystals do only form in certain areas. While Clear Quartz grow globally, crystals like Charoite is only sourced in Siberia, Russia. Just like Larimar is only sourced in Dominican Republic. Likewise, Carmel Sapphire, and the Eilat Stone (AKA King Solomon Stone) are only found in Israel, and Tanzanite only in Tanzania. Fun Fact, the Sistine Chapel of Crystals, which is the world's largest growing crystals are growing in Mexico. Donghai county in Lianyungang, in East China's Jiangsu province, is widely recognized as "China's county of crystal", the county has over 37 minerals of natural crystals. Quartz is the most common mineral, and the worlds most recognized crystal.

Crystal Gemstones History

The History of Crystals goes back centuries. From the infamous Aaron's Breastplate to the Ancient Sumerians, who included crystals in magic formulas. The Ancient Egyptians used Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, Carnelian, Emerald, and Clear Quartz in their jewelry. They used some stones for protection and health, and others for cosmetic purposes, like Galena or Malachite grounded to a powder and used as eye shadow. In fact, many Middle-Easterns and Indians still grind Galena for eyeliner to this day.

What are Crystals?

What Are Crystals

Crystals are formed through a natural process called crystallization. Crystals form in nature when molecules gather to stabilize when liquids start to cool and harden, such as magma hardening, and water cooling or evaporating. Crystals begin with an atom and continues to grow as atoms are added. Many crystals are formed from water rich in dissolved minerals, and others grow from melted rock and vapor. Crystals are full of richness and contain many elements of contents. Minerals like Sodium, Hydrogen, Potassium, Titanium, Iron, Copper, Gold just to name a few.

As crystals continue to grow, the difference in temperatures and chemical compositions causes the crystals to form patterns, colors, light, shape, and structure. In fact, It’s all about the rhythm: Crystals are repeating, three-dimensional arrangements of atoms, ions, or molecules. Symmetry is everywhere in nature, from the paired wings of a butterfly, the petals of a sunflower, the pattern of a snowflake, the veins in a leaf, minerals are no exception. In crystals these repeated patterns are called bandings. You can see characteristic symmetry of a mineral crystal with the naked eye depending on its size. Some bandings are more visible, while others may require further inspecting tools. Eventually, the more you see them, the more familiar you become with its patterns. Just like a Leopard and a Cheetah. You will recognize the pattern of their spots the more you see and study them.

What are Healing Crystals

What are Healing Crystals?

Healing crystals are natural stones and crystals that carry vibrational energies that help heal the body, mind, and spirit. Crystal healing is an alternative medicine practice that involves using Crystals, precious and semi-precious stones, and Gemstones to cure, heal, protect, and fight against physical and spiritual ailments and energetic blocks. Alternatively, it is a method of Holistic healing. It is believed that the energy of the crystal flows through the geometry of the stone and that different crystals produce various healing energies.

Crystals are natural mirrors to our innate power, and therefore are extremely powerful and versatile manifestation tools. When we set intentions onto crystals, we create a symbiotic bond with the crystal. The crystal, now infused with energy, can independently create transformation.
